On Xianyu, reply speed is the whole preview. Message before buying; a fast replier ships, a silent one sits. You're vetting the person, not just the item.

A seller who answers details (batch, condition, flaws) is one you can trust with a grail later.

In-stock, not pre-order

Skip pre-orders on run one. In-stock Taobao items move fastest and teach you the normal timeline without a seller leg you can't control.

The goal is to see the full path once: order, QC, ship, door. Pre-orders hide the middle.

Note the real cost

Write down what you actually paid: item + domestic + fee + freight. On Taobao that domestic is often zero — log it so you trust the model next time.

Next time you can compare lines and events against this number and spot a real deal.

Boring is the win

If the first dig arrives right, on time, as described — that's the best outcome. Excitement comes later, once the system is proven.
